In the beginning, there was chaos.
The sun rose and set. Seasons changed. Humans had no idea when to plant crops, when to expect floods, or when Bam Bam's birthday was. We were lost in time.
So we invented the calendar. The Egyptians carved it in stone. The Mayans built temples to track it. Pope Gregory XIII literally changed the rules of time itself in 1582, and we all just... went with it.
For thousands of years, the calendar has been humanity's greatest tool for organizing existence. It tells us when to celebrate, when to mourn, when to panic about taxes, and when football season starts.
Then in 2005, a broke 21-year-old named Alex Tew had an idea so stupid it actually worked.
The Million Dollar Homepage. One million pixels on a single webpage. $1 per pixel. People could buy space, put whatever they wanted, and own a tiny piece of internet history.
It sold out in four months. Alex made a million dollars. The internet collectively lost its mind.
Twenty years later, we've learned nothing.
Except now we have better tools. Better design. Better technology. And the realization that the two most powerful organizing principles humanity has ever created are calendars and pixels.
So we're doing it again. But this time, we're not just selling pixels on a random grid.
